Final animation treatment
Final Project Treatment
For my final project I am looking to capture I type of creation story that parallels the one found in The Bible. Going pretty much word for word (if allowed) I wish to visually suggest the presence of a god. Almost rhythmically a world will appear before the viewer’s eyes starting with the idea of sui genesis as an explosion of light blinds the viewer before returning back to darkness. Land will for as two plans began to dance around on screen. This will be followed by the creation of plants, animals, man, and woman. At the end of this animation I look to suggest a lose of control by the creator. It will serve the purpose of a deistic vision and hopefully be candy to the eyes.
Verse one and two talk about the creation of two formless masses. It is with this notion that two solids will diverge from each other on screen. Pulling to the upper and lower extremities of the frame they will meet back together symbolizing the formation of heaven and earth.
Verses three to five speak of the formation of light. Here the creation of a sun-like object will be the intention. It will encompass the heavenly pass on the upper half of the frame before talking up a reasonable amount of space, shrinking in size. The fire-ball will dance around on a loop for the continuation of the movie coming in and leaving out of the sky just like day and night. Due to the relativity of time the action will happen in the light and when the sun is not present time will accelerate just existing long enough to have a idea of a new day.
The next two verses will give reason to bring up land from the solid on the lower half of the screen that will become water. With the creation of land and sea comes the creation of plant vegetation. Grass will pop up all around and a tree will grow becoming the main image. Verse thirteen will have another night come and go before we see the tree suffer through a rapid change of states representational of the four seasons.
Verse sixteen must be disregarded as it speaks of the creation of the sun and the moon which have already been established.
Verses twenty through twenty-three speaks of animals being created from the waters. It is sometime between the creating of plants and animals that I wish to introduce a three dimensional camera. To tame the animals that have just sprang forth, and due to the story that I am following mans creation and right to rule over the animals will be symbolized by the animals gathering around him. One of these animals will go even as far as laying itself down to feed the man as a self-sacrifice.
From man, the viewer will see the formation of woman. The male will ripe a piece from himself, and this piece will for another individual just like a seed. The last verses of the creation story speaks of God giving man the seeds and meats of his creations. This is were I will suggest God’s lose of control, surrendering it to man, who in turn will only eat from the tree that God did not give to them.
Time line
Nov 1- have 1/3 of my project done with rudimentary colors
Nov 8- have 2/3 of my project done with rudimentary colors
Nov 15- have the entire project done with a basic color layout and detailed shading beginning
Nov 22- have all my colors and shading done
Nov 29- all small tweaks, editing, and playing around with extra’s to achieve the desired final product
(My story board's ought to be posted by noon.)
